Training
Training in the Nigerian Navy is the backbone of the service. The Command has refitted the infrastructure and deployed technology and well engaged personnel to bring efficiency and efectiveness to the training operations.
Technology
In todays military, technology is key , both in force management and equipment usage. The Command is exploring technology options and solutions to bring personnel and officers to a place great knowledge in technology and enable its usage for the attendment of our goals.

Nigerian Navy Hydrographic School is the premier hydrographic training institution in Sub-Saharan Africa established in 1981. The school is saddled with the dual role of training personnel of the Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Department in line with International Hydrographic Organization standard of competence for hydrographic surveyors and conduct of hydrographic surveys for enhanced maritime safety in Nigeria. The professional courses offered by the school are Basic Hydrographic Course for officers and Survey Recorder (SR) classes II and III course for ratings..
